Dan Squier: Changing crops
Dan Squier grows hemp in a rotation with wheat and rape on his 580 Ha farm in Essex. He saw a gap in the market for non-food crops and has diversified his business in response. The inclusion of hemp helps to break the resistance of black grass to chemical control in cereals and OSR cycle. Hemp also requires fewer inputs compared to wheat and OSR.
