Ken Goodger, a farmer from Norfolk/Cambridgeshire noticed that as France gets hotter there was an opportunity for English farmers to grow the crops that are no longer successful in their drier climate. For economic reasons he focused on herbs and essential oils - a niche market opportunity that the large-scale farms couldn’t take hold of. They are now seeing bigger yields as the summers get warmer and he's also noticed that harvesting is three weeks earlier than usual.
