Stewart Vernon: Energy savings

Stewart Vernon grows Wheat and oilseed rape in Darlington. He has seen excellent energy savings using the differential thermostats. The system has thermostats that measure both the outside air temperature and the temperature of the grain. When the air outside is 2 degrees cooler than the grain, the fan automatically switches on. Stewart is seeing 40% savings in electricity costs.
